Keep the ball or you are not playing. Accurate passing, final-third passing and chance creation pay; giving it away costs, and so does hitting it long — including the goalkeeper’s, deliberately.

This preset does not enable bonus points. You can turn them on when you build the league.

Who it is for

Leagues who want possession football scored as the thing it is, rather than as a route to a goal. A goal still scores, at about two-thirds of Classic’s rate: the build-up is the point.

What to change first

Exempt goalkeepers from the long-ball penalty if playing out from the back is a bridge too far.
Raise the pass-accuracy volume gate above 20 attempts, so a centre-back with nine sideways passes cannot top the band.
Restore goals to Classic’s rates if the emphasis on retention proves too abstract to follow.
Run it against Hollywood Balls in a second league, and let the two philosophies argue.
