Chances created (key passes)
The stat that rewards creativity independent of whether anyone finishes it — and how to weight it.

What it measures
Passes that led directly to a shot, whether or not the shot went in. Often called key passes. The purest available measure of creation without survivorship bias from the finisher.
How the mainstream game treats it
Not scored as points. Key passes contribute to the bonus points system.
How to score it in your league
Per action. A creative midfielder posts two or three a match, so 1 point each is a meaningful but not overwhelming rule.
A sensible starting value
1 point per chance created. Combined with a lower assist value, this produces a league that rewards process over outcome — one of the most genuinely different leagues you can build.
Watch out for
Score this alongside assists and big chances created and one attacking move can pay three separate times. Pick one or two layers, not all three.
